Keynote Address
"The brand: a creator of value."

Javier Goyeneche demonstrates how Ecoalf creates real value by turning the plastic crisis into a business opportunity, transforming waste into high-quality fashion without compromising on design. Through striking data on marine pollution, he reveals that true value creation arises when companies place sustainability at the center of their model, generating economic, social, and environmental benefits simultaneously. His experience as the founder of Spain’s first B Corp brand proves that it is possible to lead a new economy that regenerates the planet while creating authentic value for all stakeholders.

Javier Goyeneche

Founder & Chairman of ECOALF

In 2009, Javier Goyeneche founded ECOALF, a company focused on a unique approach to fashion based on two principles: sustainability and innovation. His concern about the growing volume of waste generated by the textile industry led him to question the traditional model of fashion production. This concern was the driving force behind the creation of a new business concept. The company has been recognized with B Corp certification, a distinction awarded to organizations that, in addition to generating economic profits, are actively committed to the well-being of their employees, the communities in which they operate, and environmental stewardship. Currently, Goyeneche is a member of the NESI Forum (Global Forum on New Economy and Social Innovation), an international platform that brings together for the first time the leading figures of the so-called New Economic Movements (NEMs), with the aim of promoting more inclusive and sustainable economic models.

Round table
“From online and the streets to conquering the mall.”

Many brands are taking their first steps by operating online, continuing their presence on the high street, and now including shopping centers and retail parks in their expansion strategy. What is driving this strategic shift? What unique features do they find in our spaces? What are the benefits of operating in a shopping center? The search for a connection with consumers, environments managed by a single operator/owner, and seemingly captive foot traffic are driving brands toward shopping centers and retail parks. The discussion will analyze these and other factors that are acting as catalysts for this strategic shift.

Keynote Address
“From Omnichannel to Optichannel: Reinventing the Shopping Center in the Hybrid Era”

Opticanal is the strategic evolution of omnichannel: it’s not about being present on every channel, but about choosing the right ones based on context, customer intent, and brand consistency.
For shopping centers, this means going beyond simply hosting brands and becoming smart hubs that enable the most effective interactions between consumers and brands—whether physical, digital, or hybrid.
In a world where physical stores drive online sales without recognition or direct return, the opticanal approach allows shopping centers to recapture value, personalize experiences, and reaffirm their role as key drivers of conversion in the modern customer journey.

"Spain in the World and the World in Spain: Global Interactions and Local Realities."

The world is changing rapidly, and everything that is happening affects us directly. The war in Ukraine has highlighted just how dependent we are on energy. At the European level, there is a push for greater unity, but there are internal tensions within the European Union—an EU that needs the United States when it comes to defense and security. What scenarios lie ahead for us in the coming years? Is it possible to rebuild a new world order? How important is it to have an informed and critical citizenry in these times of misinformation?
